I absolutely love fall - and my number reason, pumpkin. I just had to make these pumpkin spice cupcakes with my marscapone cream cheese frosting. Absolutely delicious. All that was missing was a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks!

Here are a couple of pictures of the wedding cake I did this past weekend for a couple in Old Town Alexandria. This was a two tier, lemon flavored, square cake filled with Trader Joes low sugar, organic blackberry preserves and fresh blackberries. The frosting was marscapone and cream cheese and was a little difficult to work with which is why it does not look as smooth as I would have liked it to. I learned a lot from making this cake - like I will only do cupcakes from now on =) Well, maybe I will try again - practice makes perfect.
