So...I'm not a huge fan of the plastic pillars but overall I think this cake came out pretty well. I definitely learned a lot from this cake - like not to take the cheap and easy way out by using box cake (too moist), don't skimp on the butter cream underneath the fondant, and when rolling out the fondant, make it a little thicker. I also learned that taking a bus, train, another bus, and then walking at least a half a mile to transport the cake is not the best mode of delivery.

I'm back in cake class! It's course 3 (I missed course 2 because of the hectic work schedule) so we're working with fondant for the whole class! Here's my first experience! It turned out pretty good...even with it tumbling out of my cart in the store - Don't worry for those who ate it...it was in it's cake carrier and protected from the elements!
