My Final Cake in Course One

This is my final cake from course one. Much improved from the first however those roses are tricky. I'll need some practice for sure! Looking forward to future course.

My Second Attempt at Cake Decorating

I think I did a little better this time. I had some extra batter after making cupcakes for class so I made this 6 inch cake. For practice purposes, I filled it with lemon pudding. I think I got the consistency of the frosting right because it looks soooo smooth! Almost like fondant!

Whine and Cheese Baby Shower

The Whine and Cheese themed baby shower seemed to be a hit! Even though the first reaction by some was "Wine? But your sister can't drink!" Starting with the invitations and going throughout the menu and favors, we incorporated wine or cheese into almost every bit. Here are a few pictures:

Invitations:

Centerpieces - We used wine bottles to hold flower stems for each of the tables. There were 7 different types of wine including, Bawling River Merlot, Whaling Wind Chardonnay, Rocky Road Riesling, Howl at the Moon Zinfandel, Sobbing Syrah, Tears over Niagara, and Whimpering Gewurztraminer.

Favors - The favors included candles in the shape of a wine glass and cheese spreaders each with a thank you note and a bow.


The Menu - We held this shower at 3pm so we decided stations would be the best choice. The menu consisted of the following options.

• Assorted Cheese
• Fruit Kabobs with chocolate covered strawberries
  
• Caesar Salad with Parmesan Crisps
• Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella Skewers with a Port Balsamic Reduction and Olive Oil
• Assorted mini sandwiches
• Cupcakes
• Sangria Punch

New Diaper Cakes

Here is a four tier diaper cake that I did for my sister who is expecting a boy. This cake is loaded with plenty of onseies and bibs and features Burts Baby Bees and a Gund stuffed toy.

This is three tier cake made for a friend. This one is loaded with onesies, bibs, Johnson's Baby products, and an organic cotton blanket.
